Extraction Method: Monoi oil is usually made by a process known as enfleurage or maceration. Fresh Tiare flowers are soaked in refined coconut oil (Cocos nucifera oil) for a set amount of time, allowing the flowers’ scent and beneficial compounds to permeate the oil. The blossoms are then removed, leaving only the perfumed oil.

The product known as monoi is a traditional Polynesian beauty oil that is prepared by infusing Tiare (Gardenia tahitensis) flowers in coconut oil (Cocos nucifera), rather than directly originating from botanical sources. Monoi oil, prized for its moisturizing, fragrant, and skin-nourishing qualities, is derived from these two families of plants.
